Emergency Roofing & Repair
Disaster Response Services
Emergency roofing helps to seal up your building to stop further water intrusion and reduce property damage until permanent repairs can take place.
Severe weather events like hail storms, hurricanes, tornadoes and derechos can cause immediate and severe roof leaks, flooding and damage to your building’s structure, equipment and interior contents.
Speed matters when you need emergency roofing.
Immediate action is necessary to minimize damage.
In a disaster situation where roofing materials have been torn off or severely damaged…
…you need a team of professionals that can mobilize quickly and make the necessary emergency roof repairs to stabilize the structure and seal the roof from further leaks.
A quick response time can mean the difference between recovery and total loss.

Emergency Roofing Services
Emergency roof repair includes services to shore up structural damage to your roof and seal up roof leaks to prevent further property damage.
This could include an emergency roof tarp if you need a relatively short-term solution. When you’re looking for a longer-term temporary solution, a roof shrink wrap may be the better option, as shrink wrap can last up to a year or longer in some situations.
Depending on your roof type, emergency roof tarping and shrink wrap roofing may not provide the best solution.
If you have a flat roof, the best temporary roofing option may be a sealed loose lay TPO membrane. Here’s a roofing project where the crew is laying a temporary TPO membrane after the flat roof was torn off.
Once the permanent replacement is approved by insurance, our crews will come back for a total TPO roof replacement, including new insulation.
Emergency Roof Repair
Following a severe weather event, it’s rarely the case that your roof survives without needing some structural repairs.
If you’ve just experienced a major wind storm that caused roof damage, you may have had parts of your roof lifted or completely torn off.
When that happens, it’s not enough to simply throw a tarp over the affected area.
If you’ve got sections of your roof missing, emergency roof repairs will need to be completed to create a solid substrate first.
Then, you can install temporary water-proofing materials to stop roof leaks.
Here are a few examples of roofs that needed immediate and aggressive action for emergency repairs.
In each of these situations, RestoreMasters built back a solid surface then covered them with loose lay TPO, tarps or shrink wrap.

How long does a shrink wrap roof last?
A shrink wrap roof tarp is a temporary solution to prevent water leaks, while you are waiting for your roofer to install a permanent roof. In areas hit by a major disaster, sometimes roofers are backed up for several weeks or months. Some shrink wrap roofs are guaranteed for a year or longer, up to certain wind speeds. Check with your project manager.

How to Select an Emergency Roofing Contractor
While emergency roofing is a temporary solution to stop roof leaks, you don’t want to take chances with an inexperienced contractor.
You need a team of professionals that can spring into action and mobilize immediately with the resources needed to get the job done and help you plan for a future permanent roof replacement solution.
It’s important to get a professional roof inspection prior to completion of emergency roof repairs to document hail or wind damage. You also want to select a roofing company with extensive experience installing your type of roof.
Look for an emergency roofing contractor with the following qualifications:
- Is licensed, bonded, and insured
- Experience installing emergency roof shrink wrap or tarping multiple projects
- Experience installing the permanent roof solution your property will require
- Experience managing staged roofing projects that may require parallel tear-off and installation
- Experience working with insurance companies on roof damage claims
An experienced emergency roofer can help you avoid leaks and major problems and provide a permanent roofing solution that lasts for decades.
