Emergency Roofing - TPO Water Damage Restoration

Project Overview
Summary provided by video transcript.
How’s it going, everybody? Matt Irvin here with RestoreMasters. Tonight we are at the Marina View Project. Follow me, and I’ll show you what we got going on.
The reason we are here tonight is because a category four hurricane came through and did catastrophic damages to the building. We have water running down all the floors. We only have today before the next seven days is just filled with rain. And if we let this building go untarped and undried in, we’re going to have lots of damages to the building. The HOA called us around 4:00 PM today. Right now, it is 8:00 PM. We have 26 guys here. We are going to stay and work through the night and make sure that this building is in the dry before the rain comes tomorrow. Let’s go over here and see what the guys got going on.
Behind me, you’ll see the crew rolling out the rolls and then cutting them in half. The reason we’re doing this is because, on such short notice, we were unable to get a crane here to go up seven stories. So we’re having to cut them in half so that they’re a manageable weight so we can carry them up the stairs. It is a lot more work, but we have no choice. We have to get this done tonight.
Wake up.
All right, so now that we’re up here on the roof system, what we’ve done is we’ve went, and we’ve documented all the holes all across the roof. The reason we do this is because you can’t do anything when it’s insurance if they haven’t been out before documenting. If you do that, it might not get covered. So we’re going to take all the proper steps before we get anything done. What we did at first, after we documented, we covered all the holes with temporary roofing cement and got it patched. And now we’re going to start laying a loose lay TPO roofing system over the entire roof so that we can ensure there’s no water going inside of our building, and that we protect the asset.
Now that our guys are getting the roof covered with the loose lay TPO roofing system, we’re going to go ahead and send in our water mitigation teams inside each unit so we can triage the building and make sure there’s no further damage to the asset.
After catastrophic events like this one, you don’t want to try and manage 10 different contractors while trying to manage your insurance claim. It could be a big hassle. You need one contractor with the experience and references that can handle the entire project from start to finish and return you to pre-storm conditions. Check us out on the web or give us a call. We’d love to help you out. This is Matt Irvin. Thanks for watching.
