Prescott Arkansas Nevada county around 10:45 p.m. CST. Tonight. Was quarter size hail when it was falling on the ground. Lightning was bad. It melted some before I could go get it. pic.twitter.com/WJJguXUsSc

The large hail threat is highest across south Arkansas this evening after 8 PM. We'll have to see if any hailers get close to Little Rock, but I'm betting the best chance for hail larger than 2.00" is down in southwest Arkansas with initial supercells.

Tornadoes, hail, and even strong winds can cause severe wind damage to roofing systems. Some older roofs can sustain damage from only 50 mph winds. The severity of roof damage depends on several factors including: type and age of roofing materials, presence of flying debris, roof shape and angle, building height and proximity to adjacent structures and the quality of original roof installation.
