Roofing Contractor Repairs Hail & Wind Damage in Southern Dallas Fort Worth, TX Area After Storms Hit December 13, 2022
Commercial Roofing & Restoration

Massive hailstorms and high winds tracked across the Southern Dallas Fort Worth, Texas, area on Tuesday, Dec. 13th, leaving a trail of wind and roof hail damage. Multiple tornadoes touched down in the region and wind speeds exceeded 60 mph, driving large hailstones.
RestoreMasters dispatched emergency roof repair crews to help commercial property owners secure their buildings before rain causes water damage and hazardous mold growths. Property owners can contact the roof repair office in Dallas, TX, for a prompt response.
“The line of thunderstorms that moved across North Texas in the early morning hours brought tornadoes, damaging winds, hail and heavy rain, said National Weather Service meteorologist Tom Bradshaw. Authorities on Tuesday morning reported that dozens of homes and businesses were damaged and several people injured,” ABC 7 News reported.
Commercial building owners in the Southern Dallas Fort Worth, TX, area are urged to request a complimentary roof inspection. Having a commercial roof inspection performed helps fast-track insurance claims. The process also identifies deficiencies caused by high winds and hail strikes that could result in a leaking roof later.
A local high wind and hailstorm damage map, shows two long yellow and orange sections that indicate hailstorms moved through Southern Dallas Fort Worth. The light gray swath just south of Metro Dallas indicates high winds ripped through the region.
The yellow portions point to ice up to 1.25 inches peppering rooftops. Light orange shows that hail up to 1.75 inches made landfall. But the dark orange confirms ice chunks up to 2.5 inches inflicted hail damage to roofing systems.

Some roofing systems can be severely harmed by damage from heavy winds, tornadoes, or hail.
Older roofs are susceptible to severe wind damage, by winds as low as 50 mph.
Roof damage can be severe or mild, depending on various factors which include: materials used on the roof, impact of debris, building height and proximity to other buildings, age, angle and shape of the roof and type of roofing.
Getting a roof inspection & property damage assessment after severe weather like this is important for determining whether you need to address roof damage from hail or high winds.
Circumstances do not always allow for immediate repair of roof leaks. In the meantime, an experienced disaster roofing contractor can cover the roof or affected area with a tarp or with a durable plastic shrink wrap material, until such a time when more permanent repairs can be made. We need to stop more moisture damage, so we can prevent mold growth.
Get your roof inspected, even if you think there is no problem, especially if your property falls anywhere within the area of the hail and wind damage map.
Many storm damage symptoms are not always evident immediately.
And deadlines from insurance companies could hinder you from filing a claim later.
